Blakes Maphanga has long been committed to employment equity through affirmative action, and we have implemented positive measures to rebalance the employment equity scorecard. As a result, several prominent attorneys from previously disadvantaged backgrounds were trained at Blakes Maphanga.

In support of our employment equity policy, Blakes Maphanga now has no less than 40% of its staff compliment comprising BEE candidates, and it is a 25% black owned firm.

Blakes Maphanga's annual intake of candidate attorneys has for the past number of years been focused on appointment of candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
